The Vancouver Aquarium Lingcod Egg Mass Survey is over for another year, but on March 4 Tom, Paul and I went out for one last look for eggs. Dive Report: Lingcod Egg Mass Survey Dive #1

This past weekend, Murat, Greg, David Denz and myself got in the water for a little cold water snorkeling in the form of a Lingcod egg mass survey dive at Porteau. Paul Lescarmure was slated to join us, but car trouble meant he was unable to catch the early ferry required to make it over to us in time.

Bennett Bay, Mayne Island Eelgrass Survey

Our first eelgrass survey on Mayne Island was a big success. We had a full crew, the weather and hospitality were fabulous and we accomplished all of our primary and secondary objectives for the weekend.

Blackie Spit Underwater Cleanup

On Sept 21 /08 the Vancouver Apneist Club teamed up with Ocean Pro Divers www.oceanprodivers.com, the Friends of Semiahmoo Bay www.birdsonthebay.ca and a few other volunteer groups in a joint effort to clean up Blackie Spit.
